PROJECT #1: CityImage developed a comprehensive communications plan for the city, which included community focus groups, discussions with the Red Wing City Council, and other city officials. The plan has helped guide Red Wing as it communicates with its residents and external audiences such as developers, prospective businesses and tourists.
PROJECT #2: CityImage conducted media training exercises for city staff and the Red Wing City Council. This training equipped city officials with tools necessary to present a positive image to the public in the press, as well as effectively relate city policies and decisions.
"The media training provided by CityImage has proven to be a great investment. The principles Tom taught made sense and, even more important, they stuck in the minds of staff as they dealt with the media on a high profile situation recently that attracted inquiries from local and metropolitan area reporters.
Tom's customized approach was effective with staff, as well as with elected officials. Knowing that our city's spokespeople have had this training puts my mind at ease, as I have never been this confident that we are prepared to act swiftly and appropriately in a significant media event."
Deanna Sheely, Assistant City Council Administrator, Red Wing, Minn.
